Not too long ago I found out I had an amazing artist and designer running in the same social circle as me. Emma Dalzell a.k.a Bambi Eyez is a graphic designer by day and killer illustrator by night. She experiments with watercolour, vector, photography, texture, typography and turns it into beautiful artworks. Her style brings back memories of discovering Deanne Cheuk’s work back in my ol’ uni days. I loved mixed media then and I continue to admire it now.

ANALOGUE/DIGITAL CREATIVE CONFERENCE

The team behind the Analogue Digital Creative Conference deserve all the airtime they can get for taking the initiative to bring something of this calibre to the Sunshine Coast.

GEEK CHIC DECOR FROM ETSY.COM

Etsy.com caters so well to design folk, harbouring some of the world’s most creative and unique items at real people prices. Scouring the site is like falling into a black hole, it sucks you deeper and deeper and 2 hours later you realise you’ve lost a large chunk of your afternoon. But hey, you’re supporting other creatives like yourself! Some of my choices might be a bit passé but here are a just a few Etsy finds that will have your friends and clients admiring your geek chic décor.
